Newborn Portraits ~ At Home

Service Description

Slow life down a little and capture some sweet moments with your little one(s). My photos range from intimate close ups of hugs, holding hands, laughter and cuddles to photos taken further away that incorporate your home. Some locations to prepare in your home can be your living room, bedroom, baby's room & crib, front door (if possible), and in front of any wall art, blank walls and or a fireplace. "Prepare" just means to lightly tidy. The best atmosphere is when things are authentic and look the way they do most of the time. These portraits are intended to tell a story of your family, so feel free to incorporate any props you like, like playing a guitar, reading a baby book, playing with a special stuffed animal, flowers, etc. Each session is 45 minutes to an hour. In my experience this is long enough to get a variety of beautiful portraits but not too long that we have exhausted little ones. I recommend having your baby fed and fresh from a nap, or just ready to take their nap. Often this results in a happy and calm baby, or a sleeping baby (Which is always adorable!). Please contact me if you have any questions! I can't wait to chat :~) *Locations within 20 mins of downtown Vancouver have no travel fee (West End, Kitsilano, North Vancouver, Yaletown, Mt. Pleasant etc). Travel fees consider time and gas spent. Cancellation Policy

I firmly believe that my job is to deliver a portrait gallery that you'll gush over and appreciate for years to come! You can have full confidence and peace of mind when you book a session with me. There are two main reasons why we would postpone a portrait session: 1. If one of us is feeling unwell it is important we stay home and rest. 2. In the event of poor weather, I will contact you 2 hours before our scheduled time and we will decide on another date and time. There is always the option to cancel a session. A full refund, less credit card processing fees, will be returned if a session is cancelled up to 2 hours before the session start time. Cancelling within 2 hours before our session start time will result of a partial refund, the deposit will be non-refundable. If something happens and a client is dissatisfied with their photos we will discuss the problem and decide on a solution together. If a re-edit can be done, that is my first choice. In a more extreme case I will offer a re-shoot of 30 mins if possible. The reshoot is usually due to us not being able to achieve the minimum amount of portraits guaranteed for a session, for whatever reason. If neither of these options seem suitable, the client will receive a partial refund for the editing time, which is half of the session total. The deposit (time spent during the session) will not be refunded under any circumstances. Again, I believe it's my job to provide a fun and empowering experience for each of my clients from discussing session details to delivering the final portrait gallery. It's unlikely that any of these options (besides postponing for weather!) will happen, but please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
